Mitico’s First Customer Pilot in Thailand Was A Success

As we close another productive quarter, I'm proud of what we've accomplished as a team. First, we announced with our partner Bangchak the success of our pilot in Thailand. This effort led by Ron Rogers from Mitico International marks an important milestone for the commercialization of Mitico’s carbon capture technology.

Our R&D team in the US continued to make meaningful progress across our Carbionik™ sorbent technology and Centennial pilot demonstration platforms. We are now in the process of scaling up the manufacturing capacity for our Generation 3 sorbent, reducing the cost to capture from Generation 2 by a factor of three.

Beyond our technical achievements, this summer reminded us that innovation is powered by people. We were fortunate to host an outstanding group of interns, who brought fresh ideas and enthusiasm while gaining hands-on experience through exciting projects from improving our TEA to designing new reactor systems. Thank you, Suraj Panicker and Joshua Duncan.

As we continue growing, our mission remains clear: to help our customers reduce emissions through modular, low-cost carbon capture technology that delivers real environmental and economic value. Find us at upcoming events at the bottom of this newsletter.

Thank you, Mitico-Xers.

Product and Partnerships Updates

We continued advancing the commercialization of our carbon capture technology through ongoing pilot activities and engineering development. The successful completion of our carbon capture demonstration in Thailand with Bangchak and the Asian Institute of Technology was recently announced in a wide-reach press release. The campaign represents an important validation milestone for Mitico. Centennial 1.1 completed 600 hours of pilot operation, including testing on combustion of refinery gas, and achieved CO2 capture rates of up to 99% under operating conditions.

Our Canadian engineering team has nearly finished the installation of Centennial 2.0 at NRCan and is ready to power it on soon in the coming weeks. If you are interested in a tour, please reach out!

Commercial discussions also continued with industrial partners exploring carbon capture solutions for a variety of applications, reinforcing the growing demand for affordable, modular carbon capture technologies. We will soon share more information about our Go-Mitico demonstration program.

Technology & Innovation

During the quarter, our R&D team focused on advancing Carbionik™ Generation 3, with strong wins in durability and capacity, manufacturing readiness, and performance optimization. These developments are helping improve sorbent lifetime while supporting lower operating costs for future commercial installations. They have been integrated into a new TEA tool that enables a more accurate CAPEX and OPEX estimate for specific projects below 100 ktpy for our upcoming Denali series.

Engineering efforts also continued across the Centennial™ platform as the team refined system performance, optimized operating parameters, and prepared for larger-scale commercial deployment. Together, these advancements continue moving Mitico closer to delivering practical carbon capture solutions that industries can adopt quickly and economically.

Internships at Mitico

We'd like to extend our sincere thanks to Joshua Duncan from The University of Texas at Austin and Suraj Panicker from Texas A&M University for their contributions during their internships at Mitico.

Joshua re-built from the ground-up our TEA modeling tools so our R&D and Engineering teams can faster assess key areas of focus. Suraj developed a bench-scale system with different gas flow conditions to replicate our customers’ post-combustion conditions. They both brought enthusiasm, curiosity, and a strong work ethics, making them valued members of our team throughout the summer.

We are also very excited to welcome Ruby Rogers for her upcoming internship.
