Critical Milestones in Low-Cost Industrial Carbon Capture
Friend of Mitico, I’m pleased to share an update on Mitico’s progress, momentum, and priorities as we enter the second half of 2026. I want to thank our entire team, along with our partners, investors, and collaborators, for their continued momentum behind Mitico’s mission.
This quarter has been an important period of progress across our technology, pilot programs, partnerships, and team growth. Highlights range from the successful Centennial pilot at a refinery in Thailand and the installation of a new Centennial system in Canada to breakthroughs in Carbionik™ sorbent development that have reduced our anticipated cost of capture by more than threefold.
We have also welcomed Doroteo Manriquez, Suraj Panicker, and Joshua Duncan to our Pasadena R&D team, as well as Prayag Chitrapu and Piywawat Boss to Mitico International. We are steadily building the foundation for practical, scalable, and affordable carbon capture.
Industrial decarbonization requires solutions that work in real operating environments—not just in theory. At Mitico, we remain focused on delivering low-cost, modular, and non-toxic carbon capture technology that helps industrial partners reduce emissions while improving operating economics.
To support this next phase, we are in active discussions with current and prospective investors and are grateful for the strong interest already shown. We welcome thoughtful introductions to aligned stakeholders who are interested in advancing practical and scalable industrial decarbonization.

Commercial and pilot updates
Mitico continues to validate its carbon capture technology through real-world pilot and demonstration work.
Our Thailand refinery pilot (Centennial 1) with Bangchak and AIT has provided valuable operating insights and demonstrated strong system performance in an industrial environment. We captured 0.5 metric ton (tonne) of CO2 over 600 hours of operation by our partners. These learnings continue to inform future system design, deployment planning, and customer engagement.
In Canada, the Centennial 2 system with NRCAN CanmetENERGY in Ottawa has progressed through installation and is getting ready for commissioning. We will be evaluating the performance of the system over a range of flue gases and push Carbionik™ to its limits.
Across commercial discussions, Mitico continues to engage with industrial partners and stakeholders exploring carbon capture for boilers, refineries, natural gas power, ceramics manufacturing, and other emissions-intensive applications.

Technology & Innovation
As a Caltech spin-off, innovation is part of Mitico’s DNA. Our R&D team continued advancing Carbionik™ sorbent development, including additives optimization, durability testing, and scale-up planning. Current breakthroughs have demonstrated a long cyclability and operational efficiency of Carbionik™, leading to a drastic reduction in the capture cost.
Our Engineering team continues development across fixed-bed systems and modeled, with the support of Johnston Engineering, the reactor beds of Denali, our commercial-scale system. This modeling work validated our scalability assumptions and cost basis, bringing us closer to the first-of-a-kind (FOAK) commercial-size Denali with the goal to capture between 10,000 and 50,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.
Strategic partnerships
This quarter, Mitico continued strengthening relationships with industrial partners, research organizations, investors, and technical collaborators. Engagements across North America, Europe, and Asia are helping support technology validation, pilot planning, and future commercial opportunities.
Mitico’s participation in programs such as the SNAM HyAccelerator also reflects growing recognition of our technology and its potential role in industrial decarbonization.
US team expansion
Behind every milestone is a dedicated and growing team. This quarter, we were excited to welcome Joshua Duncan and Suraj Panicker as engineering and R&D interns, bringing fresh perspectives to projects ranging from system design and analysis to fluidized-bed development.
We're also pleased to welcome Doroteo Manriquez as our new Research & Development Technician. Doroteo joins Mitico from Prof. Liu’s laboratory at CSULA. His experience and enthusiasm will support the next phase of our carbon capture innovation, and we're excited to have him on board.
As we welcome new talent, we also want to recognize Wuwei Mo, who recently concluded his time at Mitico. Wuwei made meaningful contributions to our R&D program and helped advance the development of our carbon capture technology. We thank him for his dedication and wish him every success in the next chapter of his career.

As we move through Q3 and into the next phase of growth, Mitico’s priorities remain focused on:
